Recently the hottest topics of IT sector, $500 million of Technology Voucher Programme (TVP) has finally released the results of the first two batch of application in Feb 2017. A total of 21 applications were supported by the committee which involve about $2.77 million, the average funding is about HKD130,000 per project.

One of Techland’s customer has successfully passed the review of “TVP” with the TecE ERP project. In fact, enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems, customer relationship management (CRM) systems, electronic inventory management, e-procurement management, and point-of-sale management (POS) systems provided by the Techland are covered by the "TVP” scheme.

In addition, according to the published figures, as at the end of January, 96 applications from the received 136 applications could not be handled. The main reason was that all the required supporting documents had not been submitted. Some cases were rejected for purchasing standard software and hardware which was considered contrary to the original intention of “TVP”.

Therefore, enterprises need to pay special attention when submitting documents online. The application will be rejected if found that the application did not submit all required documents and need to re-submit again, so the application approval time will be prolonged. Moreover, the proportion of standard hardware and software, e.g. server, operating systems, office software, etc. should not be too high. Finally, the expected results or goals should be quantified and measurable.
